It's finally finished!
Six rivet nuts in the hood. I will eventually paint the heads of the rivet nuts to match the car. ![]() ![]() The button head allen screws are held in the pod by captive washers on the backside, so they stay in the pod at all times. ![]() ![]() And again, these are IPF lenses, outers are 35 watt HIDs and the inners are 130 watt halogens. Both sets have their own individual IPF switches under the dash over the coin tray. ![]() OEM HID headlights ![]() ..and well... everything on

Looks nice... Need to aim the lights a little more though... :)
What did you do for wiring? Relays? Big amp switches? |

What would you expect to be furnished with a light pod? Question is, should it be all pre-wired? All you have to do is bolt it to the hood? How it is actually connected to the hood remains an issue, but I have some ideas. Would you like it finish painted? What type of costs would you expect? I'll be honest, Andrew's as pictured, painted, with hardware, lights and switches, would probably near $700. Now, that's all stainless hardware, weather proof connectors, lighted switches, base coat/clear coat paint. It's a truly top notch piece, something we don't ever expect to service. I'm just not sure that's what everyone wants. Maybe it is, that's why I'm asking. So I'll watch for some feedback.

Relays of course. Even if the switches were rated, running that much big high load wire into and out of the cabin would be a bad idea, in many ways. Ryan |

Here are pictures of the wiring.
Female plug connector to the pod ![]() ![]() When not in use, it tucks away nicely behind the left headlamp ![]() IPF Wiring System Relays mounted to the drivers strut tower ![]() zoomed out ![]() I pulled these out from behind the battery so you can see the fuses. ![]() IPF switches with LEDs on the tips. ![]() Male connector on the light pod ![]() And finally, the wiring inside the pod. Both HID Igniters are mounted to the lower part of the light pod beneath the two center lights.

Sorry for the hijack, but I just noticed something in the interior picture from above that I'm trying to fix on my car.
![]() ![]() My oil temp gauge does not work and I guessed it was because of the cut wires in the oil drain plug, but Mitsu does not have a part number for that plug/sender.Maybe that was something the PO had installed on the car. So,anyone know where the sender is located for the oil temp gauge?
