I'm about to participate in a rallycross event coming up soon.
Anyone have any experience or input on the subject? Pretty new to the Evo world. Had my 2003 Evo since February. Currently have stock suspension on 1" lowered springs. Should I go back to stock springs for this? The course will be dirt/grass/gravel and pretty level. Also will have winter tires on stock rims. Car is basically stock. Turboback exhaust, IC piping, intake. Anyone have any tips on prepping for rallycross, that would be great! As in, maybe get an undertray, bring spare tires? Thanks for the input! |

Winter tires should be fine. Iwould raise the car back up. A skidplate would be nice but if its pretty level go for it. Did several rallycrosses when the car was still new with just the stock undertray but it does have a tendency to destroy it. Bring duct tape. Make sure u have a spare or two for if the bead comes off the tire and a basic metric tool kit at least. A jack to change tires.
Get used to your car first then put money into what you want to make better Thats the short version lol

Make sure all your normal maintenance is done, i.e. tranny fluid, brake fluid ect
I would suggest using the stock springs. |

Yeah, I'm on stock suspension still too. Suspension is what gets destroyed the most when driving in hard conditions like when Rally-X'ing so might as well not go too crazy past stock. But in any case, height is your friend :)
