Definately would suggest a plate. As far as suspension AMR would be about half the price of hotbits and get you what you need for RallyX and street use. Lifetime warranty too.

I would also recommend AMR. I have ordered a set of their coil-overs for my Lancer. I would give Andy a call at AMR. He can cut you a good deal.

Does AMR do gravel spec stuff? Looking over the site it looks more track oriented.

Yes, they do. Andy is building me a set for rally cross and gravel. Just shoot them an e-mail or give him a call. He is great to work with.

I believe Andy is out of the country for an extended period right now. But he's still taking care of business. Best to use email though. Be sure to tell him what you want to do with the car, because he builds to suit. For example, my struts are longer than the off-the-shelf parts because I'm running one inch lifted. Custom parts take longer, but where else are you going to get that sort of attention?

Not to mention the possibility of calling him at 3AM or something.

Nothing liking being late to the party but wanted to add my two bits to this thread. My team mate has beeing using Ksport GS (gravel spec) struts this past year in open class stage rally with excellent results. I sell Ksport among other Mitsu goodies so have an in for getting a good deal to those that want. If your interested in a cost effective awesome gravel suspension then certainly consider the new version Ksports. They are completely new this past year from extensive testing. The 50mm gravel spec set up, 36way adjustables go for $1200-$1500 if you buy through me, check out my web page for some info. otherwise it's 1900+ from the Ksport direct.
cheers,
craig
